About Mare

Hi, I'm Mare (they/them)! I'm based in the greater Boston area, and spend my spare time drawing, designing, and photographing.

Graphic Design

With graphic design, I've worked on two nonprofit rebrands, including creating a new logo, color palette, and brand kit. I've created posters for orchestral concerts, local rock shows, theatre companies, and other events. Most recently, I created a series of educational brochures for an NYC government office.

Photography

Photography has been a passion of mine since high school. For me, it's a way of capturing both a literal and emotional moment in time. Lately I've photographed rock shows, food photo shoots for a hot sauce company, and a campy brunch modelling session.

Art

My art is generally inspired by real-life situations, but with a touch of fantasy. I gravitate towards traditional pen/paper, but have been honing my digital illustration skills for the past three years.

When I'm not making art, I sing in a choir, work at a nonprofit, volunteer, and watch Godzilla movies with my partner and our cat, Rebe.
